Second Remicade Infusion :)
My Second Remicade Infusion was April 22, 2014. I got along well and it took about 3.5 hours in total to get it into my body and the nurse got my vein right away so that's a bonus. This time I was given extra fluids to try to prevent headache and nausea symptoms. Overall I don't feel much different than I did last week but definitely a great improvement than I did before starting this medication. Prior to starting Remicade I was maxing out on my daily limit of Tylenol on top of my regular anti-inflammatory/pain medication. Since I started Remicade I have not taken the Tylenol except for this week after my infusion as recommended by the nurse for headache. My third Infusion is May 22nd; once I receive this dose then I will have completed my three loading doses and then will get the medication every 8 weeks starting off. It takes three doses to get the medication into your body. I sleep a lot better and my skin is starting to change for the better. I am looking forward to my next Remicade Infusion.
